FREE & DISCOUNTED MEALS FOR VETERANS DAY

We've got a list of restaurants and fast food joints that are celebrating Veterans Day with free and discounted meals for military folks. This list is by no means complete. There are lots of vendors and retailers who offer Veterans Day specials. Info is subject to change. Check with your local merchants for more details. (And if they don't offer Vets Day special, tell them they need to get with the program!)

Restaurants and Stores that participated previously:

O'Charley's: On Sunday and Monday, veterans will have their choice of a free meal from a special Veterans Day menu at Middle Tennessee O'Charley's.

Cracker Barrel: This Veterans Day, Cracker Barrel Old Country Store is offering military veterans a choice of a complimentary slice of its Double Chocolate Fudge Coca-Cola Cake or one of its Crafted Coffee beverages.

Edley's Bar-B-Que: Edley's three Nashville locations are offering a 50 percent off meal deal to veterans and active duty military on Veterans Day. They are also offering a signature American Hero cocktail made with Hero's Vodka. Hero's Vodka is a veteran-owned business and a portion of every purchase goes to veterans, active duty military and their families.

Hopdoddy: On Nov. 11, Hopdoddy locations will give 50 percent off to all parties joined by a veteran, active or inactive member of the armed forces.

Freebirds: Freebirds World Burrito is offering a buy one, get one free meal special to all guests with a valid military I.D. on Nov. 11.

Golden Corral: Golden Corral's Military Appreciation Night free dinner will be available from 5-9 p.m. on Nov. 12. The dinner honors any person who has served in the U.S. military, including retirees, veterans, active duty, and members of the National Guard or Reserves.

Applebee's: Applebee’s is offering veterans and active duty military a free meal on Veterans Day, and expects to serve as many as one million free meals through this offer.  

Red Lobster: Red Lobster is offering a free appetizer or dessert from a select menu to veterans, active-duty military and reservists with a valid military ID on Nov. 11.

California Pizza Kitchen: Participating California Pizza Kitchen locations are offering a complimentary entrée to veterans on Veterans Day. They also offer a card veterans can redeem for a buy one, get one free offer on pizza, pasta, or salad during a return visit Nov. 12-18 (while supplies last).

Bob Evans: Bob Evans restaurants are offering a free meal to all veterans from a special menu on Veterans Day.  

Publix: Publix is offering veterans a 10 percent discount on most items on Veterans Day. Dollar General: Dollar General stores are offer an 11 percent discount to military veterans, active service members and their immediate family members on Nov. 11.

Home Depot: Home Depot offers an everyday 10 percent military discount for active duty, National Guard and reservists, as well as retired and service-connected disabled service members, and their spouses. There is a maximum discount of $500 and there are some restrictions.

Lowe's: At Lowe's, veterans and active duty service members can enroll online to get an everyday 10 percent military discount on eligible purchases.

Great Clips: Veterans can get a free haircut or a card entitling them to a free haircut before the end of the year at Great Clips on Nov. 1. Non-military folks who buy a haircut on Veterans Day get a free haircut card to give to a veteran.

2021 Veterans Day Restaurant Discounts:

To honor members of the military, these restaurants are offering veterans free meals on or around Veterans Day, November 11.  

Bob Evans -- Veterans and active-duty military get a free meal from a select menu on November 11. Dine-in only.

Bombshells Restaurant and Bar -- All 10 Bombshells Restaurant & Bar locations in Texas will provide free meals for veterans on November 11. Active-duty service members and accompanying family members will receive a 20% discount.

California Pizza Kitchen – Veterans and active military get a complimentary entree and beverage when they dine in and show proof of service on November 11. In addition, all veterans who dine with California Pizza Kitchen will receive a BOGO, redeemable from November 12 through 20.

Chicken Salad Chick -- On November 11, veterans and active-duty military will receive a free Chick Special and Regular Drink.

Chili's -- Veterans and active-duty service members get a free meal from a select menu on November 11. Available for in-restaurant only.

Crooked Pint Ale House -- Veterans get a free meal on November 11 at participating locations.

Country Kitchen -- Active and retired military get a free Country Scramble on November 11 at participating locations. Dine-in only.

Denny's -- Veterans and active military personnel get a free Build Your Own Grand Slam on November 11, from 5 a.m. to noon. Dine-in only.

Freddy's Frozen Custard and Steakburgers -- Veterans and current military personnel get a card for a free Freddy's Original Double combo meal on November 11 that can be used until November 30, 2021.

Golden Corral -- Golden Corral is hosting their Military Appreciation Night on November 11 from 5pm to close. This includes a free “thank you” meal when dining in.

Green Mill Restaurant and Bar -- Veterans and active-duty military get a free menu item at participating locations on November 11. Dine-in only.

Lucille's Smokehouse BBQ -- Active-duty personnel and veterans get a free Lucille's Original Pulled Pork Sandwich on November 11. Offer is available for takeout phone orders and dine-in.

Mission BBQ -- Veterans and active-duty military get a free sandwich on November 11.

Pilot Flying J -- Veterans get a free meal at participating locations November 11 through a special offer in the app.

Red Lobster -- Veterans, active-duty military and reservists get a free appetizer or dessert from a slelect menu on November 11. Dine-in only.

Red Robin – Veterans and active-duty military who are Red Robin Royalty members can redeem a free Red's Tavern Double Burger with Bottomless Steak Fries November 1 through November 14 for dine-in or to-go. You must register for Red Robin's Royalty Program with military designation by Monday, November 1.

Shoney's -- Veterans and active-duty service members get a free All You Care To Eat, Freshly Prepared Breakfast Bar on November 11 until 11 am. Dine-in only.

Sonny's BBQ -- Veterans and active-duty military get a free pork big deal on November 11.

Starbucks -- Veterans, military service members and military spouses get a free tall (12-oz) hot brewed coffee at participating stores on November 11.

Tap House Grill -- Veterans and active-duty military get a free meal on November 11.

Texas Roadhouse -- Texas Roadhouse will hand out dinner vouchers at the stores’ parking lots on November 11, from 11am to 2pm. Veterans and active-duty military can redeem their dinner vouchers when the restaurant opens for dinner, through May 30, 2022.

Veterans Day Restaurant Deals

To honor members of the military, these restaurants are offering Veterans Day deals on or around November 11.

Cabo Wabo Cantina -- On November 11, Cabo Wabo, located inside Miracle Mile Shops at

Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, offers veterans and active-duty service members a 20% discount on food and drinks.

CentraArchy Restaurants -- Veterans and active-duty military members get an entrée from the full menu at half price on November 11.

Luna Grill -- Veterans and active-duty service members get 10% off their entire purchase with valid ID on November 11. Offer is only valid for orders placed in restaurant (dine-in or to-go).

McCormick & Schmick's Seafood Restaurants -- Veterans, National Guard, Gold Star parents and Gold Star Spouses can enjoy a select half priced entrée on November 7. Reservations are strongly recommended.

Miller’s Ale House -- Military members and veterans get 50% off their entrée of choice with proof of service on November 11.
