Rachel Blankenship is an exceptional Veteran and VA nurse, whose service with the 1st
Cavalry Division in Iraq set the stage for her ongoing dedication to Veteran care. As a
VISN 8 Clinical Contact Center triage nurse since 2017, she has become indispensable
for her clinical excellence and compassionate support to Veterans. Rachel’s
commitment extends into the community where she actively participates in the
American Foundation for Suicide Prevention's 'Out of the Darkness' walks, raising funds
and awareness to combat Veteran suicide. Rachel's compassion and expertise have
profoundly impacted countless lives, offering critical care and unwavering support to her
fellow Veterans in need.
